Relieved when it’s her sister Bernice, Nicola continues to hide her inner torment and suffering.

However, she is soon thrown when Bernice suggests she makes the pitch for the Green Initiative with her to the council.

As Bernice leaves the house, Nicola is left feeling like a prisoner in her own home as she begins to feel scared to leave.

And when her dad Rodney arrives, Nicola does her best to keep him from departing before pleading with Bernice to come over and help with the presentation, desperate not to be left alone.

Not long after, Nicola panics again when she’s the only one available to pick up the kids from school.

Trying her best to get on with her normal everyday tasks, Nicola makes her way to her car to pick up the kids but is overwhelmed by thoughts of her attack.

While in the car she panics and slams on the accelerator accidentally colliding into David’s van.

Nicola begins to stumble when confronted by an angry David after their crash.

When David demands that she hands over her insurance details, Nicola rushes back inside her house and bolts the door.

Confused, David pleads for the insurance details from Nicola who’s unable to let him into her home.

Later on, Nicola soon latches onto the idea of exaggerating Carl’s illness to keep him at home despite the boy pleading to go back to school with his friends.

As Nicola ushers Elliot and Angel off to school, a wary Carl is unconvinced as to why he needs to stay at home with her and questions her on her motives.

But once alone, Nicola fights a panic attack however she is luckily snapped out of it by Carl.

Trying to settle Carl, Nicola searches for chocolate to placate him, but he quickly grabs her phone and darts outside.

Terrified Nicola starts to become overwhelmed at the prospect of going outside to chase him.

She soon enters full panic mode when she hears girls laughing outside and braces for the fight of her life thinking her attackers have returned.

Petrified, Nicola hits a mystery person over the head in defence.

Chas affair twist
