Emmerdale: Victoria tells Jacob it has to be ‘over’
Recent Emmerdale scenes saw David Metcalfe (played by Matthew Wolfenden) finally finding out about his ex Victoria Sugden’s (Isabel Hodgins) secret relationship with his son, Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant). Following an explosive row in which he disowned Jacob, David decided to leave the village.
Shortly after, Victoria decided to end things with Jacob on the ITV soap.
“This has to be as far as we go together,” she told him. “I’ve had the best time with you, you’re a wonderful, gorgeous person.
“But relationships, they fail. Family, if you’ve got one, is everything. And I’m not going to let you throw yours away.”
“Don’t do this, please,” Jacob begged, but Victoria had made her decision.

“I lost my mum years ago, and then dad – and I still miss him so much,” she explained.
She continued to a tearful Jacob: “It’s lonely being on your own.
“So I’m not going to let that happen to you. You love David and deep down, you know that he still loves you.
“If we end this and you go and you tell him how much you really care about him, then there’s still a chance for the two of you.
