Escape to the Chateau's Dick and Angel reveal it's been a 'humbling couple of days' as they move on from Channel 4 split | The Sun

ESCAPE to the Chateau veterans Dick and Angel have dusted themselves off after their recent split from Channel 4 as they partied with fans.

Channel 4 announced last month it would no longer be working with the Strawbridges, but the family have not let the setback get them down.

The couple worked with the broadcaster on Escape to the Chateau and the spin-off series, Escape to the Chateau: DIY, but were investigated over clashes with producers from Two Rivers Media.

In a recent Instagram post Dick and Angel shared a snap from their delayed meet-and-greet opportunity from last year's theatre tour.

The post took a mild jab at their previous partnership, stating that this year's event was their "biggest" yet.

They said: "A huge hello to you on this Wonderful Wednesday!

"It's been a humbling couple of days here for us and our team. 1,000 Chateau hugs…1,000 cakes, lots of bubbly in teacups, plenty of smiles, and two wedding proposals took place at our biggest event ever.

"From invite to execution, it took 15 months, but our postponed Meet & Greet from last year's theatre tour finally took place."

They prompted their followers to follow their account to see the "chaos and magic" that unfolded and encourage them to book next year's tour.

The post read: "We can't thank everyone enough for coming all the way to see us, it was incredible and will be talked about for many years to come!"
