DIANE Hutchinson is trying to get back to normal weeks after being shot with a crossbow – but her husband is struggling.

Meanwhile in Hollyoaks, a mysterious figure wreaks havoc and James Nightingale makes a dangerous move. Get the lowdown.

1. Tony is terrified for Diane

Eric Foster instilled fear in the eponymous Chester village by spreading his misogynistic views.

But everything took a turn when he managed to considerably hurt Diane Hutchinson (played by Alex Fletcher) by shooting her with a crossbow.

While Diane is doing all she can to forget about the attack, her husband Tony (Nick Pickard) is struggling to overcome his own trauma.

Coming up this week on Channel 4, Diane tries to reassure Tony he has nothing to worry about regarding her attending the Women’s conference.

Later on, Tony goes into panic mode when Diane is nowhere to be found in the flat.

His paranoia sends him spiralling when Jack sees online that Diane is at the Women's Conference with Maxine Minniver.

Tony may be right to worry…

That same night, CCTV footage in The Dog shows a hooded intruder moving furniture and vandalising the pub.

In later scenes, Beau (Jon-Paul Bell) discovers something in the footage which he hides from the family and detective Zoe Anderson.

Still on the case later in the week, Beau discovers a hooded figure in The Dog once again.

3. James makes a mistake

Meanwhile, the Nightingales are going through very bittersweet moments as James (Gregory Finnegan) gets ready to tie the knot to on-off flame Ste Hay and prepares for the worst with his sick sister Juliet.

This week, James wants to protect Juliet (Niamh Blackshaw) and thinks keeping his and Ste's wedding plans under wraps is best as she waits for her stem cell transplant.

But when Juliet discovers the truth, she's hurt by James' decision to keep her at arm's length.

In later scenes, Juliet, her girlfriend Peri Lomax (Ruby O'Donnell) and Donna-Marie Quinn (Lucy-Jo Hudson) all team up and have a proposal for James.

The three women offer to help with wedding planning as a way to keep Juliet busy until her procedure.

But James soon decides he doesn't want to wait another minute and tells Ste they should bring their wedding forward.

Ste (Kieron Richardson) agrees and points out that scaling back on the big day would help them pay for Juliet's private healthcare.

That same night, Eric Foster (Angus Castle-Doughty) jumps on the opportunity to make a tempting proposition to the solicitor.

James is offered any amount of money in return for Eric's freedom.

Will he go ahead with the deal?

4. Brooke is overwhelmed

Following Nancy's departure from Hollyoaks, Brooke Hathaway (Tylan Grant) is left to take of the house and family but Charlie (Charlie Behan) and Oscar (Noah Holdsworth) take advantage.

Later on, Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best) comes to the rescue as Brooke experiences sensory overload when a fire alarm is accidentally set off.

Determined to help Brooke, a caring Lizzie suggests to Damon Kinsella (Jacob Roberts) that they should adapt the workplace to their new colleague's access requirements.

The Love Boat owner comes up with a plan but will his assumptions work out in Brooke's favour?

5. Sharon helps Mercedes

Elsewhere in Chester, friendship blossoms as Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) opens up to Sharon Bailey (Jamelia) about why her and Felix Westwood don't have his son DeMarcus' blessing for their relationship.

The new doctor in the village offers to have a word with the lad to help heal any wounds that have been created in the family.

Sharon later helps DeMarcus (Tomi Ade) with his studies and tries to put in a good word about Mercedes.

When his father's girlfriend then drops off his favourite childhood sweets, the kind gesture doesn't go unnoticed.

Will DeMarcus warm up to Mercedes?

While she may be hoping to form a bond with the teen, Mercedes and her family get bad news as Sharon is offered a permanent role at Dee Valley hospital.

Sally St. Claire (Annie Wallace) announces the McQueen house has been sold.
