Lorraine: Jamie Laing shows off his new Lorraine tattoo
Jamie Laing admitted he “doesn’t miss” being on the hit reality series Made In Chelsea. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, the 35-year-old talked about his time on the show.
He explained: “I don’t miss it anymore, no. I think with all the things that have gone on… No, I don’t miss it so much at all, no.
“It was an amazing part of my life, it was so fun and I loved doing it but no, I don’t miss it much anymore.” Jamie joined the E4 programme in 2011 and is one of the most recognisable faces from the series.
The show catapulted Jamie into the world of television and as well as launching his own confectionary company, he started taking part in several other programmes. In 2017, he appeared in Celebrity Hunted alongside his Made in Chelsea co-star Spencer Matthews.
The following year, he appeared in the first series of The Great Stand Up to Cancer Bake Off. In 2019, Jamie was named as one of the stars of that year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

However, an injury meant Jamie had to withdraw just two days before the series was launched. He was supposed to have been paired with Oti Mabuse, who went on to win the series with Kelvin Fletcher.
Luckily for Jamie, he was able to take part in the series in 2020 instead, where he was partnered with Karen Hauer and made it all the way to the final.
When asked if he remained friends with anyone from Strictly, he explained: “I’m still really friendly with Oti, I think she’s amazing.

“I’m friendly with Gio [Pernice] of course… You know what I’m friendly with lots of them. And I saw Bill Bailey the other day, Bill’s amazing – you create a bond with them that kind of never goes.”
On his former dance partner, he added: “I haven’t spoken to Karen, but we had this friendship where we don’t need to speak so much. So we occasionally just chat, but we haven’t spoken since this [2023] Strictly has happened.
“But she’s she’s one of the greatest. She is one of the greatest, She’s amazing.” While Jamie admitted Strictly was a difficult show to take part in, he said he’d love to do it again given the chance.
He had initially been rooting for Made In Chelsea co-star Sam Thompson’s girlfriend Zara McDermott, but after her exit he started backing Layton Williams, who remains in the series and on Saturday became the first celebrity of 2023 to be awarded a perfect score of 40.
Could West End star Layton go on to win this year’s series or will Bobby Brazier, Ellie Leach or Annabel Croft beat him to it?
Strictly Come Dancing continues on Sunday at 7.20pm on BBC One.
