THE BBC made a catastrophic blunder this weekend after mistaking presenter Jo Whiley for someone else while broadcasting Glastonbury Festival.
The iconic music event opened its gates on Wednesday afternoon for its 52nd year, with hundreds of music fans gearing up for a wild weekend of performances.
For the thousands of people unlucky enough not to bag a ticket, they have been left glued to their seats at home instead, with the BBC covering proceedings.
Tasked with presenting the five-day festival are the likes of Jo Whiley, Lauren Laverne, Jack Saunders and Clara Amfo.
After performances from some of the best acts in music including Sam Fender, Billie Eilish and Diana Ross, the presenters were quick to comment on them.
However, soon into Saturday evening's broadcast, radio DJ and television presenter Jo was mistaken for one of her counterparts in an embarrassing blunder.

As the sun began to set, Clara and Jack were seen with a mic in hand with a banner introducing the pair.
But underneath Jack was a title that said Jo's name instead – and it didn't go unnoticed by eagle-eyed viewers.
Taking to Twitter, one person penned: "Slightly confused as to why Jack Saunders is being introduced as Jo Whiley. Weird flex, but ok."
Echoing their comments, someone else sarcastically remarked: "Looks like Jo Whiley’s having a great time at Glastonbury Festival."
Replying to a picture of the gaffe, another commented: "I'm confused. That's not Jo Whiley, is it?"
Earlier this week, festival fans struggled through the rail chaos to get to Glastonbury.

Revellers were welcomed by 86-year-old site owner Michael Eavis and quickly made the most of the sunshine.
But bookies slashed the odds on it being the wettest ever Glastonbury with thunderstorms set for the weekend.
Michael said: "We're ready to go. After three years, it's fantastic. It's going to be the best show we've ever done."
