Kate Garraway broke down in tears as she opened up on the struggles of being a carer to her husband Derek Draper.
The Good Morning Britain presenter was on fellow ITV morning show This Morning on Thursday (September 14) when she got emotional.
Speaking to hosts Holly Willoughby and Josie Gibson, Kate discussed how she had to learn to adapt to becoming a carer to her husband Derek.

Talking about the journey – which she details in her new book, The Strength of Love – the 56-year-old struggled to fight back tears.
Kate confessed to the female presenting pair: "I feel like I'm holding a life in my hands… and I’m just not sure I’m good enough for that really."
Derek – who suffers from an unusually severe case of long Covid – continues to struggle to move, with basic movements including talking still out of reach.
Kate revealed that Derek had been fighting a chest infection over the last few weeks, which was now receding.
She added: "He seemed brighter in himself and very present because the cognition is very variable."
The broadcaster also said that he "is most alive" when their two children are around, before launching into a tribute to how her kids have handled things.
"I haven’t really talked about them and they’ve had their own traumas, but that’s not my story to tell, and maybe one day they’ll tell it," she said.
"I want to protect them in that way, but they’ve been amazing with him in their different ways."
Kate also recalled when Derek had been strong enough to go to an Elton John concert, and the legendary musician dedicated a part of his set to him.
She described the "surreal" feeling that she felt after the I'm Still Standing singer paid tribute to him.
"When Derek went to sleep that night, he said, ‘I won't let the sun go down on me…’ and Elton will never know really how much that meant."
This Morning airs weekdays at 10am on ITV
