GRAND Designs star Kevin McCloud has revealed that he was ‘reported to police’ in his new doco-series.
The Channel 4 presenter will be starring in a limited series which aims to kickstart a fundamental change that will help positively impact climate change.
In the forthcoming Channel 4 docu-series, The Great Climate Fight, Kevin, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall, and Mary Portas try to fight climate change by weeding out the steps governments and massive businesses need to use to eliminate carbon emissions.
The trio will be guided by some of the most respected climate experts in the world.
The expert’s job will be to highlight the areas where the government needs to do more, campaigning for tangible improvements in essential places like energy and housing.
In a short sneak peek video from the upcoming show, which airs tonight, plans seemed to have gone slightly awry for Kevin after he was trying to implore a government minister, Micheal Gove, to listen to concerns about current housing standards.

During the clip, Kevin is seen making his way to a book launch for Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.
While on his cab journey, he explained that the event organisers had reported him to the Metropolitan Police.
Speaking directly to the camera, Kevin said: “I’m going to this event in Westminster.
“It’s a book launch with Michael Gove and with MPs. It’s because he refuses to meet or answer any questions.

“But then I got this email from the organisers of the event.”
Reading out the reply he was given, the 64-year-old explained that although he’d brought a ticket, they would refuse him entry due to them having ‘no record’ of him working as a Channel 4 freelancer.
Pulling out his glasses to read the message aloud, he said: “I have cancelled your ticket.
“Not only has he cancelled my ticket, but he’s also [told me he’s] reported me to the Metropolitan Police.”
A confused Kevin then quizzed: “For what? For impersonation…of myself?”
The climate change activist went on to explain how a ‘proper check’ reversed the cancellation, but he had brought his press card as backup to show at the door.
The Grand Designs host continued: “I mean, for God’s sake. I just want to ask somebody some questions.”
Kevin then disclosed that he wanted to try and get the MP to sit down with him and conduct a proper interview.
He wanted Mr Gove to ‘immediately lift the blocker on local councils setting their own housing standards’.
He added: “All it takes is a word from him.”
After the event, Kevin waited behind to ask the politician further questions and confirm his assertion to meet at a future date.
Still, when the time came for their scheduled interview, it ‘evaporated into thin air’ and was cancelled.
Kevin admitted: “I found it so frustrating because surely Ministers ought to be prepared to answer questions of national and public importance about the policies they are responsible for.”
In the upcoming series, the three passionate presenters chase cabinet ministers reluctant to meet them and take their fight to the airwaves and streets.
The threesome will also be meeting the businesses and communities who claim that they are being held back from going greener and fighting climate change due to existing laws and regulations.
The Great Climate Fight airs tonight at 9.15pm on Channel 4.
