Greys Anatomy Season Finale Official Trailer
ABC’s long-running medical drama Grey’s Anatomy will return to screens for its milestone season 20.
While fans questioned what the instalment will look like without the beloved Meredith Grey (played by Ellen Pompeo), more concerns were raised during the final moments of the finale.
The dramatic two-part finale saw Chief of Surgery, Teddy Altman (Kim Raver) get ready to perform an operation when she suddenly collapsed.
As her husband and fellow surgeon Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) begged: “Teddy stay with me,” viewers were left scrambling for answers.
Although Grey’s Anatomy seemingly intended for fans to be fretting until the season 20 premiere, the cliffhanger was ruined.
Deadline recently reported the contract negotiations between the stars of the show and confirmed which actors would reprise their roles in the upcoming instalment.
As the publication revealed the deals were “wrapped relatively quickly,” they disclosed Kim Raver has signed on for season 20.
Although it’s yet to be seen how Teddy will survive the flatline, fans will be pleased to see Raver back on screens.
The last two original cast members Chandra Wilson and James Pickens Jr will also reprise their roles as Dr Bailey and Richard Webber.

Alongside Raver, McKidd who joined the show in season five will return as the former war vet.
Fans can also expect to see Camilla Luddington and Caterina Scorsone star in the highly anticipated return.
Season 19 was a major transition for the show and viewers as it featured the major departure of the show’s lead, Ellen Pompeo, who has starred since the pilot episode.
Fans also witnessed the heartbreaking departure of the beloved Kelly McCreary and showrunner Krista Vernoff.
Grey’s Anatomy shows no signs of slowing down as showrunner Shonda Rhimes teased: “I might be a very old lady by the time we reach its last season.
“Because it doesn’t seem to be stopping which is wonderful and I feel the world really belongs to the fans and the fans have been really clear about what they want.”
She told Deadline: “It’s such an amazing show and it’s doing so well as it’s moving forward.
“I’m going to leave it alone and see where it goes, and we’re going to stay a show as long as everybody wants to be there and as long as the fans want to be there.”
Grey’s Anatomy seasons 1-19 are available to stream on ABC in the USA and on Disney+ in the UK.
