A HOLLYOAKS legend is returning to the E4 soap after a decade away in a major storyline for the McQueens
The streaming-first show is launching a major winter season and now The Sun can exclusively reveal that actress Claire Cooper is returning.
The star played troublemaking McQueen sister Jacqui between 2006 and 2013.
A source revealed: “Bosses know that fans want to see their favourite characters from the soap’s long history and Jacqui was on the top of the wish list.
“She’s iconic and feisty and it’s going to be a true pre-Christmas treat for fans to see what she’s been up to.”
Jacqui’s return will come as part of a major storyline involving the disappearance of her sister Mercedes.

The insider added: “Mercedes has vanished and the family are desperate to find her.
“It soon becomes clear that Jacqui is involved. And she’s not the only McQueen return on the cards with bosses making rebuilding the family as a priority.”
Actress Claire will only appear in one episode of the soap later this year – but the door is very much being left open for her to return.
A Hollyoaks spokeswoman declined to comment.
