What is Season 5 of the Handmaid’s Tale about?
If you’ve not watched Season 4 of the Handmaid’s Tale, now’s the time to stop reading: there are spoilers ahead.
During the finale of the fourth season, we finally watched June and her fellow Handmaids finally get their revenge on the brutal Commander Fred Waterford, who is killed in a ‘salvaging’ session.
The newly widowed Serena Joy (Yvonne Strahovski) will attempt to raise her status in Toronto as Gilead will cast a further shadow over Canada.
Meanwhile, Commander Lawrence (Bradley Whitford) allies himself with Aunt Lydia (Ann Down) in an attempt to change Gilead from the inside.
