DAMIAN Lewis is cementing his move from screen to sound after landing a record deal.
The Homeland actor has secured a contract with Decca Records and will put out his debut album Mission Creep on June 16.
He’s made moves into music in recent years with a series of small live shows and today drops the first single from his record, called Down On The Bowery.
Damian is said to have channelled his heartache into the album two years after the death of his Peaky Blinders actress wife Helen McCrory.
Talking about writing it, Damian said: “I suddenly had a lot to say. People will judge if it’s any good or not, but for me it felt natural.”
He said he decided to make the album in lockdown having been a regular busker when he was younger.

The A-lister added: “I wanted the album to give a sense of a journey to this point – from busking ’til now.”
Decca also has Jeff Goldblum, who has successfully made the move from movies to music, on its books.
It sounds like Damian is in safe hands.

The US star held an intimate event at London’s Abbey Road Studios on Tuesday night and invited Bizarre down to reveal her hopes of working with the Oxfordshire rockers.
Talking about the band which includes frontman Thom Yorke, she said: “While we’re here, me and Radiohead should do something together.
“I love Radiohead so much, I love how they think about music.
"I love how moody their music can be, but I also love, melodically, the directions that they go in. I think we’d hit it off. I think I’m gonna make that phone call.”
She threw the event to celebrate the upcoming release of her albums in Spatial Audio on Apple Music from April 28, after they were re-recorded to sound better than ever.
Alicia also revealed she has been signed up to record a song for Bridgerton spin-off Queen Charlotte on Netflix.
She said: “I’m actually doing a brand new reimagined version of If I Ain’t Got You with a 90-piece orchestra with women of colour and it is incredible.
“It is actually part of the Netflix series Queen Charlotte and it is stunning.”
BIEBER BUCKLES UP FOR DINNER
HAILEY BIEBER looked belting in this little black dress, with a gold buckle across her chest.
She got all glammed up for a dinner in New York although her husband Justin was nowhere to be seen for the night out.
The model has been keeping calm and carrying on since last month, when Selena Gomez urged followers to stop bullying Hailey online.
She had been sent death threats by crazed fans who believed there was a feud between the pair – based on the fact she married Justin just months after he split from Selena.
Much of that noise on social media has died down now and it’s good to see Hailey has defiantly carried on as normal in the face of the vile abuse.
She will be on to bigger and better things in no time.

Last night Andrew said he was “delighted” by the move, with the cast yet to be announced.
Lily: I was up for Trap
LILY ALLEN has revealed she was in the running to play Lindsay Lohan's role in 1998 Disney hit The Parent Trap.
The Smile singer said she went for the part of identical twins Hallie and Annie and often brought it up while pals with Lindsay in the late Noughties.
She said: “I went up for that role. That has been a bone of contention between us.
“I would always be drunk and be like, ‘I could have been you! I was gonna do The Parent Trap’.
“She would be like, ‘OK, whatever’.”
But the pair could soon be good mates again after they cleaned up their lives.
Speaking on the Off Menu podcast, now-sober Lily said: “She has made contact recently with me.
“She wants to be friends again and I’m quite up for it.”
Burger binge for Rachel
RACHEL WEISZ is always chic and stylish but she probably wasn’t feeling quite as good after shooting her new show Dead Ringers.
The actress scoffed a whopping 16 burgers in a single sitting while filming scenes in a diner for the mini-series, which launches on Amazon Prime Video on April 21.
During a screening at BFI Southbank in London on Tuesday, she said: “I just ate a lot . . . I quite like to eat.
“So the burger scene in the diner, I ended up eating 16 and I didn’t feel very brilliant after, but then when do you get the chance to eat 16 burgers?”
That sounds like the perfect excuse. Maybe I should take up acting . . .
JONAS BREWS
JOE JONAS is worth £30million so would surely be unlikely to drop into a Wetherspoon pub when in the UK.
But yesterday, while US rockers the Jonas Brothers – also including Joe’s siblings Nick and Kevin – were in the capital, he surprisingly admitted he has once been to a branch of the budget boozer.

Joe, wed to Game Of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, compared the pubs to US restaurant chain Waffle House, which inspired the title of his band’s new single.
Then during a chat on Heart Breakfast, host Jamie Theakston asked if he had visited, and Joe said: “I have!” He added: “It wouldn’t be my go-to.”
