BAKE Off star Michael Chakraverty has revealed he was followed home this week after getting off the tube – three years after being on the show.
The baker, who came sixth in the competition in 2019, described the incident as ‘scary’ in a tweet today.
He told his followers: “So I’m really thrilled if you love bake off and absolutely say hello if you’d like, but please don’t follow me from the tube to my home, it’s really inappropriate and scary.”
Michael gained a huge following during his time on the Channel 4 show and viewers became invested in his relationship with co-star Henry Bird.
As the series returned to TV this week, Michael spoke out begging people to be kind online.
Writing in the Metro, he shared his own experiences of being on the show – remembering it fondly, but not forgetting some cruel comments he endured.
