ONE Antiques Roadshow superfan has spilled all on the secrets of the BBC show and the shocking things some guests do with their items after filming is over.
Stephen Fugill was left delighted when he learned that the Roadshow was coming along to his hometown of Derry and jumped at the chance to secure tickets to attend alongside his daughter, Megan.
The superfan took along two items to go under the watchful eye of the many BBC experts but it was what he saw people doing off-camera that really caught his eye.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Stephen confessed that two women were left so disgruntled by a low valuation on their items that they resorted to throwing them in the bin.
Stephen told the publication: "There were two older ladies who were quite the characters and were very serious – one had a ceramic pig and the other had a painted jug.
"They thought their items were worth thousands but were told they were worth less than a fiver so ended up throwing them in the bin before leaving."

Elsewhere, the 50 year old superfan confessed that he was so eager to get to the Roadshow, he dragged his daughter along 90 minutes early.
He said: "I went with my daughter, who wasn't happy as we started queuing at 9.30am.
'When you enter the Roadshow, you check in, register your items and then you are assigned to a stall where there is an appraiser who's an expert in the type of antique you have."
For Stephen, he was left joyful at discovering he could make a £28 profit on an item he bought for £2 after taking it for a valuation.

However, the same success could not be said for his other item.
He added: "The other item was a sweet tray which I thought was hand painted and worth about £100 but was disappointed to find out it was a print and worth less than a tenner."
Stephen also told the Mail how the experts were just as warm and lovely in real-life as they seem on-screen as he confessed to taking a shine to Andy McConnell in particular.
He shared: "All of the experts were really friendly and helpful, my favourite was the glass expert Andy McConnell.
"He was the expert I was most excited to meet, when I spotted him I ended up almost chasing him around the square so I could get a picture with him which really embarrassed my daughter.
"He was so well-versed and just as witty in person, he really brought the craic to the show."
