GOGGLEBOX star Baasit Siddiqui gave a sneak peek into his life off camera during a romantic weekend away with wife Melissa.

The TV star rarely shares photos of his secret family members, including Melissa and their two kids.




But the dad-of-two, from Derby, couldn't resist documenting his weekend away in York with his wife to celebrate their 10 year anniversary.

In one photo Bassit, 36, shared a sweet message for his beloved wife following the major milestone, writing on their hotel mirror: "For better of worse I still choose you. One decade down, forever to go."

In another snap he revealed the couple enjoyed a posh dinner at The Ivy restaurant, after shopping in York's historic city centre.

Following the staycation Baasit was delighted to be reunited with his kids including eldest daughter Amelia, who often makes an appearance on the Gogglebox sofa.

He said: "Looks like the kiddies have had a great time too…" sharing a snap of them enjoying a walk in the local park.

The Sun previously revealedGogglebox stars get paid £1,500 a month per family, which they can share out between themselves however they see fit.

Baasit previously revealed what it’s like to film for the show, telling the Derby Telegraph: "There are two remote cameras in the room when they're filming.

"One is focusing on the family on the sofa and the other turns and films the close-ups of us.

"If one of us says something or reacts to something in a shocked way the camera will zoom into us.

"We have become so used to it now it just feels like a normal evening."

Last year Sid, 75, was missing from some Gogglebox episodes with viewers raising their concerns.

But assuring them he was absolutely fine, Sid Tweeted: "Hi, good morning everyone thank you so much for so many well wishes.

"Apologies for not tweeting I have been a bit under the weather but I’m absolutely fine now and hopefully be with you soon on #Gogglebox Please take care and be safe."
