Inside twisted new game show Lucky 13 from creators of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire | The Sun

A BRAND new game show is being piloted from the creators of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

The new series is due to record an episode in Manchester with a live studio audience.

Called Lucky 13, the new format sees 13 contestants answer 13 questions.

They'll all be competing for a place on the 'hotspot' in a bid to win a cash jackpot.

But in order to win anything, the contestants have to guess how many questions they managed to get correct.

American actor Kevin Bacon is executive producing the 60-minute show.

Adrian Wolfe, who is responsible for Who Wants to Be a Millionaire and Lucky 13 said: "Whilst I would not wish to make a direct comparison between the two formats, there’s an engaging simplicity and magnetic tension to ‘Lucky 13’ that I hope will keep viewers hooked and on the edge of their seats.

"It’s perfect for adaptation across markets and languages and we can’t wait to launch ‘Lucky 13’ around the world."

Meanwhile, Kevin Bacon said: "I played the game and I was hooked. It’s not only about how much you know, but it’s also about how much you think you know. It’s addictive fun!”

The pilot episodes are due to be recorded Sunday 2nd & Monday 3rd April in Salford – the home of a number of shows such as BBC Breakfast and Coronation Street.
