Jay Blades urges fans to sign up for The Repair Shop
Jay Blades embraced This Morning’s Holly Willoughby in an awkward embrace after it was revealed The Repair Shop had won the NTA for Best Daytime show.
For the first time since 1998, the ITV show missed out on keeping its title as it went to the emotional BBC show instead.
Visibly shocked when they were announced as the winners, Jay Blades made his way to accept the honour on stage.
Passing the nominees along the way, he hugged those who lost out, including This Morning’s Holly.
Although it looked as though the hug was slightly uncomfortable they had an awkward exchange.

When on stage, Jay made his colleagues pose for a photo before giving the acceptance speech.
He said: “I have to take a picture of this because this is a rarity, us standing on this stage and winning it!”
Getting the crowd to cheer behind them, it was clear the moment meant a lot to the 53-year-old.
Calling the restore experts who were on stage with him, his family as the crowd erupted into applause.

Jay continued: “We’re the new kids on the block and I’m glad we won this time.
“I know it won’t be a regular thing but we’ve done it this time so thank you, thank you.”
The Repair Shop’s win seemed to be the second snub of the evening for This Morning as Holly Willoughby missed out on being nominated for the best presenter.
Although her co-host Alison Hammond was nominated, the award was given to Ant and Dec instead.
It wasn’t long before people took to Twitter to share their thoughts on The Repair Shop winning the award.
