Trailer for Jewish Matchmaking
Jewish Matchmaking dropped on Netflix on May 3 with viewers across the world tuning in for the new dating show.
Dating coach Aleeza Ben Shalom tried to match up singles within the Jewish community from both Israel and America.
She has helped over 200 people make it to their big wedding day.
The show featured a large cast of singles with a set of criteria and the hopes of matching with the right person, including Ori Basly.
Where is Ori from Jewish Matchmaking now?
Ori admitted he’d decided to participate in Jewish Matchmaking because dating apps such as Bumble, Hinge, Tinder and JSwipe weren’t cutting it for him.
He also said he was highly selective, particularly when it came to a prospective partner’s appearance, and this wasn’t something he would compromise on.
Ori said he was also looking for a partner, who would accept him eating bacon.
The designer, who lived with his mother and stepfather in California, said he was looking for a blonde-haired, blue-eyed partner who was also a Hebrew speaker.
Ori went on several dates during the show, first with actor Adi, who’d moved from Israel, but the pair didn’t seem to quite hit it off.

The pair did go on a second date, which is when they realised they weren’t suited to one another.
The graphic designer was then sent on a date with blonde attorney Karin and it looked like there could be a spark between them.
However, Ori’s Instagram account is private and it’s not clear if he and Karin continued to see each other after the Netflix show.
According to his website, Ori is living in LA and is a designer, who specialises in graphic design, print, website design, video editing and motion graphics.
His Instagram bio also lists him as an event planner and creative director of his mother’s business Tal Orion Conceptual Events and Conceptual Events.
Should Jewish Matchmaking prove successful then fans could hopefully see an update on Ori and Karin’s relationship status in a possible season two.
