Josie Gibson reportedly feels “betrayed” amid reports that This Morning is gearing up to pick someone else to replace Phillip Schofield.
Phillip used to present the ITV show with Holly Willoughby but stepped down earlier this year in the midst of a scandal that saw him admitting to an “unwise but not illegal” affair with a much younger male colleague. Since then a carousel of hosts have taken his seat on the sofa alongside Holly, including Josie and the likes of Craig Doyle and Ben Shephard.
ITV hasn’t announced anything official but there is talk of Ben being rumoured to be the frontrunner to take over permanently. Josie has wowed viewers with her hosting skills on the show, and according to reports, she’s been left feeling a little miffed.

A source apparently told Closer magazine: “Josie has been doing such a good job and everyone felt as though she would be staying as main co-host for good, but it now seems producers are hesitant about making it an all-female line-up.”
The insider went on: "She's just feeling unsure about what her role within the show is going to be and had hoped for more of a feeling of job security rather than being pitted against other presenters."
Phillip, 61, hosted This Morning for many years but he quit the programme in May amid reports of tension between him and Holly. And he later confirmed his affair.
The presenter went on to open up in a couple of interviews. He talked about how hard the whole thing had hit him and told the BBC that he felt he had “lost everything” after the saga unfolded.
Josie had previously been a regular on This Morning, hosting fun segments and competitions. But after Phillip’s exit she has stepped up for more hosting work and is now a favourite on the sofa.
Good Morning Britain star Ben did a hosting slot more recently and also went down a storm with viewers, with some calling for him to be given a full-time position.
Daily Star has contacted This Morning and a representative for Josie for comment.
