Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) had his heartbroken recently when he discovered that he hadn’t developed a romantic connection with a woman called Crystal in Coronation Street, because it was actually Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) who had been texting him the entire time.
In the initial aftermath of his acid attack, Ryan started texting Crystal as a way of distracting himself from his reality.
As things developed, Ryan would chat to Crystal throughout the day, often flirting and thinking about spending time together in Ibiza, where she worked as a DJ rep.
The entire relationship was built on lies though, as Daisy was often seen in the pub texting as Crystal, feeling guilty as Ryan’s feelings grew.
Ryan worked out the truth after a comment from Max (Paddy Bever), which confirmed that he had sent a message to Daisy about his collapse and not Crystal.
During the confrontation, Daisy tried to argue that her idea came from a good place, thinking Ryan would feel cared for and loved, but he didn’t see it like that at all.

After failing to tell Daniel (Rob Mallard) about his kisses with Daisy, Ryan made it perfectly clear that his friendship with her was completely over.
This is shown next week, when Ryan lies to Daisy and says that he’s back working at the bistro and she can forget about him, depsite the fact he hasn’t actually asked Leanne (Jane Danson) about returning to work at that point.
When Ryan’s first shift back eventually gets underway, a customer complains about his scars and Leanne leaps to his defence, claiming that he’s a hero.
Overwhelmed with the prospect of facing the public, Ryan is given tasks to do behind the scenes until he feels more confident. Leanne suggests that he sorts out a new wine contract and Ryan decides to flirt with the supplier in a bid to obtain a good deal.
However, when Rose reveals that she’s checked out his socials and wonders if he’s still single, Ryan’s thrown, especially when Leanne thanks him for securing such a great deal and reveals that Rose is going to pay a visit!
But where does this leave Ryan?
Will he finally start a happy relationship after everything with Crystal and Daisy?
