Sid Sumner (Billy Price) is set to get the shock of his life in Hollyoaks on Monday, as he returns home to find Juliet Nightingale (Niamh Blackshaw) kissing Nadira Valli (Ashling O’Shea).
Did not see that coming!
The trainee police officer, as viewers know, has been focused on finding out who it was that murdered Saul Reeves (Chris Charles), and thus he’s launched his own investigation.
But his attention is elsewhere on Monday (July 25), when he catches sight of an intimate moment between Juliet and Nadira.
Nadira and Juliet, both engaged to someone else, have been struggling with their feelings for one another.
Juliet, who is due to wed Peri Lomax (Ruby O’Donnell), developed feelings for wedding planner Nadira earlier this year, after they shared a passionate kiss.
Nadira, meanwhile, is struggling with her sexuality, and has thrown herself into planning her own wedding, as she intends to marry Shaq Qureshi (Omar Malik), despite not loving him.
Friday’s (July 22) offering of the Channel 4 soap saw Nadira pop over to Juliet’s amid her wedding planning, hoping to have a chat.
The subsequent episode, which can be streamed on All4 from Monday, will pick up from here, as Jules – who has donned her own wedding dress – asks her to weigh up the pros of being herself and admitting her true feelings.
‘This feeling’, Juliet repeats, referring to the biggest pro of all, as can be seen in the above clip, taken from the episode in question.
With chemistry aplenty, the two brides-to-be share a passionate kiss, much to the shock of Sid, who catches them in the act.
‘Jules, what are you doing?’, he exclaims. The question is: will Sid keep quiet about what he’s witnessed? Or will his devotion to honorary sister Peri result in him spilling the beans?
That is the question, isn’t it? We’re not telling you the answer by the way, you’ll just have to tune in on Monday to find out.
