Julyan was unexpectedly asked to join the cast of the BBC series around four years ago.
At the time, he was celebrating the birthday of someone very special.
He explained: “I’ll never forget the day Ricochet [TV production company] rang me as it was my wife’s birthday – I thought it was someone contacting me about PPI.”
Thankfully, he gratefully accepted the offer and is now a regular in the barn.
Julyan will be keeping himself busy in the upcoming episode of The Repair Shop as a visitor needs his assistance with a beloved family heirloom.
The description reads: “There is a big project for guitar expert Julyan Wallis: a 1960s guitar that belonged to Robyn Griffith’s grandfather, who had a real love of jazz but never had the opportunity to learn to play this cherished instrument.
“Robyn has inherited not just the guitar but a talent for playing, and he would love to enjoy it.
“The guitar has been broken and silent for decades, and Julyan is his last hope.”
The Repair Shop continues every Wednesday at 8pm on BBC One.
