Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) was devastated when, in a recent EastEnders episode, Lisa Fowler (Lucy Benjamin) fled Walford and returned to Portugal taking his daughter Peggy with her.
Lisa’s attempt to get money from Keanu in exchange for access to his daughter failed when it became clear that Lisa had a huge gambling problem and was £40k in debt.
Realising that Lisa wasn’t going to give him access to Peggy without a fight, Keanu stole her and Peggy’s passports, but despite this and a last ditch legal attempt to stop Lisa leaving the country. Lisa got the passports back and left for Portugal.
What Keanu doesn’t know currently is that Sharon (Letitia Dean) and Martin (James Bye) helped Lisa to escape. It’s something Sharon is obviously determined to keep quiet, knowing what his reaction would be.

So as this week’s episodes open, Keanu is focusing all of his efforts on finding ways to get his daughter back and he consults with Eve (Heather Peace)’s lawyer friend to find out what legal routes are open to him in the battle for access to Peggy.
And that’s when he gets some terrible news. He’s told that if Peggy is back in Portugal he’ll have no option but to fight his case through the Portuguese courts. He’s warned that could take years, with no certainty of the outcome he’s hoping for.
A deflated Keanu goes to see Karen (Lorraine Stanley), and she comes up with a theory that sets him thinking. She says that Lisa must have had help from someone in the house to get the passports back. That leaves very few options, and Keanu decides that there’s only one person who could have done it.
Martin Fowler.
He immediately throws Martin out, but of course this leaves him still unaware of Sharon’s involvement.
Can she keep what she did a secret from her fiancé?
