LOVE Island runners-up Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins have hit back after being voted one of the least compatible couples by their fellow Islanders.
Ahead of the show's grand finale the remaining Islanders were asked to vote for which couple they thought would not work on the outside due to compatibility issues – and it was later revealed that Ron and Lana were chosen as one of them.
Speaking to ITV after the final, Ron responded to those who doubted the couples compatibility, saying: "I think it’s hard, because they weren’t [ups and downs] in our brains. We never lost sight of one another.
He added: ''I can understand people from seeing it wouldn’t know, and even people in the villa didn’t know, but we always knew."
And it appears Lana shared similar thoughts, adding: "Yeah I’m the same. There were directions in different parts of the villa that we tried, but my heart never left Ron and I think Ron was the same where his heart never left me.''

Winter Love Island 2023 records lowest ratings in seven years
ITV revealed that the Love Island final which saw Kai and Sanam crowned winners recorded 1.3million viewers across all devices and became the most-watched programme among the 16 to 24 demographic on any channel on Monday evening.
