Love Island: Zachariah enters as a new bombshell
The first episode of Love Island kicked off with a massive twist that the islanders weren’t expecting.
For the first time ever, both boys and girls entered the villa at the same time, something ITV viewers have never seen before.
Once the series 10 cast were all acquainted, host Maya Jama entered to reveal that the decision of who they’d be coupled up with had already been decided by the public.
After briefly meeting each other, fans saw Molly and Mitchel, Ruchee and Mehdi, and Tyrique and Ella paired up.
Andre and Catherine and Jess and George were all also matched up during the opening episode.
However, it looks as though there’s already drama ahead as a new bombshell entered the villa at the end of the episode.
Viewers saw the islanders enjoying a game of dares before host Maya Jama walked in to reveal a surprise.
Telling the girls they could step forward if they were unhappy in their couple, only Ruchee and Jess confessed they didn’t have a connection.
However, all hope wasn’t lost as Zachariah made his debut as he was told by the Love Island host he had an important decision to make.

He was told that in 24 hours, he’d have to pick one girl to couple up with, regardless of if they had stepped forward or not.
Whoever he picks will then leave one boy vulnerable in the villa, with many fearing for the current favourites Molly and Mitchel.
It may only be the first episode, but bookies are already predicting a win for blonde babe Molly Marsh, who is the female favourite to win with odds of 5/2, according to BetVictor.
In regards to the boys, Mitchel, who is coupled with Molly, is leading the way with the same odds at 5/2 with, André Furtado second favourite with odds of 3/1.

Speaking about why he wanted to go on Love Island, Zachariah stated: “I always say, ‘you only grow as a person when you take yourself out of your comfort zone’ and I think it’s something that’s so far out of my comfort zone, I’d be silly not to give it a go.
“Being 25, I’m at a crossroads where I’ve been having fun, but I also want to have the peace and harmony that comes from being with the right woman.”
I do believe in love at first sight, I think that you can sense people’s energies as soon as you meet them,” he added.
“Love isn’t something you pick to be in, it’s something that happens when it happens. I wouldn’t say I’m closed off but I like things to be really natural and organic.”
Love Island continues weeknights on ITV from 9pm.
