LOVE Island's Tyrique Hyde confessed his love for Ella Thomas last night but fans were all left asking the same question.
The 24-year-old semi professional footballer pulled out all the stops to impress Ella with a sweet romantic gesture.
He enlisted the help of fellow Islanders Zach and Sammy, who helped him plan a special surprise at the front of the villa – including chocolate-covered strawberries and a private chat on a beanbag.
Tyrique then professed his love for the model, telling her: "The last thing I really expected was to find someone that I really genuinely had a connection with.
"I'm just so glad, it's not been easy but nothing that's worth it comes easy, do you know what I mean.
"And I feel like we've got through every single task, got through every single hurdle and we're just still here together strong.

"The feelings I've had towards you, I've never had before in my life.
"And if I'm being honest I didn't know I was capable of having these feelings. You're the first person that's ever made me feel like this.
"I'm really capable of catching feelings."
He then confessed: "I just want to let you know, I wanted to say to you that I do love you."

Ella couldn't hide her joy and responded by telling Tyrique that she felt the same way.
But some fans were baffled that he didn't ask her to be his girlfriend first.
One wrote: "I can't lie, I've fallen off the bandwagon but this latest development that Tyrique has told Ella he loves her but hasn't made her his girlfriend, and this comes after it was revealed Whitney and Lochan are the favourite couple? Can you people now see clearly?"
Another posted: "All the noise Tyrique was making, I thought he was going to ask Ella to be his girlfriend. I'm not sure I buy this yet from Tyrique's side but time will tell."
A third echoed: "Why didn't Tyrique just ask Ellan to be his girlfriend?"
"So all now Tyrique hasn't thought about asking Ella to be his girlfriend but declared his love for her," another sceptical fan commented.
Someone else added: "You're telling me that Tyrique is going to tell Ella he loves her before making her his girlfriend?"
