Stars of Love Island are in for a shock on Sunday as some unsuspected guests will arrive in the villa.
In a twist from the usual running order of the show, the show’s ‘meet the parents’ episode will make an early appearance.
Among the family members arriving into the Spanis villa is Zachariah Noble's famous sister, 'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star Snoochie Shy.
The show’s remaining couples will reportedly be introduced to their other half’s family early, bringing the explosive episode forward.
The ‘meet the parents’ episode usually takes place during the penultimate episode before the final and sees each Islander’s family fly over to the villa to grill their significant other and make a decision on whether they think they are a good fit for their son or daughter.
The episode can often be heartwarming if all the family members get along – or a disaster if someone’s family isn’t too keen on their partner.
Each Islander’s family will no doubt have been watching the drama play out in the villa over the past few weeks and the ‘meet the parents’ episode is their first chance to meet the Islanders in person to give their honest opinion on them.
A source told The Sun: “It's set to be the biggest and most explosive episode of Meet The Parents yet.
"In a never before seen series first, the producers have decided to bring it forward so friends and family can really give their honest thoughts and opinions on the couples just before they are at the pivotal point in deciding where to take their relationships."
The Islanders will be reunited with their families for the first time in weeks – but will any of the parents have some harsh words for their child's significant other?
It comes at a time when Abi Moores is questioning Scott Van Der Sluis over his true feelings for her.
On Friday night's episode of the hit ITV2 dating show, Abi confronted Scott at the fire pit, saying: “I do feel like there is a big lack of interest in this.”
The heated discussion continued, with Scott asking: “Are you saying you’re not believing what I’m telling you?”
To which Abi replied: “I don’t know because the things that you’re doing don’t show me that you’re interested.”
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2 AND ITVX
