Jacques made a cheeky joke to Jay about his new partner, Ekin-Su, after drama unfolded in the villa on Monday night's Love Island.
The explosive interaction between Ekin-Su and Amber started after a casual conversation with Ekin-Su's new partner, Jay, who she chose to couple up with on Sunday night's recoupling.
The pair had already caused some drama – with them sharing secret kisses while Ekin-Su was partnered up with Davide – but Jay ignited the argument after telling his partner that some of the girls were not as keen of her as she thought.
A big argument then broke out on the beanbag chairs, with Amber accusing Ekin-Su of playing a game.
In the night following the bust-up, the boys sat out in the garden to reflect on the argument.
Jacques started the chat by saying to Jay: "You caused some s*** last night though, Jay, didn't you?"
Explaining his decision to speak with Ekin-Su, Jay replied: "If I'm going to be with a girl in here, in my eyes I want her to be well regarded and well respected by her friends. I don't want to be that couple that's isolated.
"So all I was trying to do last night to Ekin was just gently just let her know that maybe her feelings towards the girls aren't reciprocated."
Jacques replied: "Yeah well people are thinking she's false sometimes."
"Mate I don't want anymore f***ing drama, man, this is more drama than I've ever had in my f***ing life, man," Jay added.
Then Jacques jokes: "You've picked the wrong girl if you don't want drama."
Jay replied: "I know mate, f***ing hell."
The argument started when Amber and Ekin-Su were sat alone on the beanbag chairs in the garden, with Ekin-Su saying: "I was sitting there and he [Jay] was like, I think Amber and Paige don't like you."
Trying to explain what Jay meant, Amber says: "I feel like upstairs, you've been really genuine and we've seen a vulnerable side to you but I will add, over the last couple of days I've thought, is she playing a bit of a game?"
Ekin-Su immediately went defensive and asked: "What's your actual issue with me? All you're saying doesn't make sense."
Amber replied: "You're playing a bit of a game, enjoying the drama" with Ekin-Su firing back: "Am I playing a game or are you playing a game?"
Things then escalated quickly as Ekin-Su exploded, saying: "You're trying to create s*** right now. It's p***ing the f*** out of me."
"I'm being genuine," Amber insisted before saying "You're allowed to feel p****ed off".
Ekin-Su then made a dig at Amber's rocky romance with Dami, telling her "Yeah cause you're really secure in your relationship."
At this point, the rest of the girls had joined the pair, and were looking on in shock as Ekin-Su continued her rant.
She yelled: "You're attacking my personality, saying I'm playing, of course I'm going to say something back to you."
Gemma Owen then stepped in to try and defend Amber, telling Ekin-Su: "It's unfair to blame it all on Amber, I think some of the other girls have seen a bit of a difference as well."
"Why didn't you speak up then?" Ekin-Su asked her, only for Gemma to point out: "We're speaking up now."
Becoming emotional, Ekin-Su said: ‘I’m genuinely upset, I don’t understand why you’re all just…"
Before snapping at Amber: "Don’t roll your eyes, seriously what is the problem?"
Despite the intense drama, the girls reconciled the next day – but both later found themselves at risk of leaving the villa altogether.
Following a public vote where viewers chose their favourite islanders, Ekin-Su and Amber were in the bottom three girls along with Tasha.
For the boys, Ikenna, Jay, and Andrew are all at risk of going – with one male and one female islander set to go on Tuesday night's episode.
Love Island continues every night at 9pm on ITV2.
