Love Island’s Olivia hits out at producers and says she was played against Zara

Love Island's Olivia Hawkins has claimed she was "played against" Zara Lackenby-Brown.

The girls had an ongoing feud in the villa over the attention of Tom Clare, who was coupled up with Olivia before Zara, who came in as a bombshell, made her interest for him known.

It emerged that Olivia and Zara had once worked together on a music video and as details continued to come out about their connections, fans questioned if drama had occurred between them before.

However, Olivia put the rumours to bed and told The Sun that the pair never fell out after working together.

She said the duo kept in touch over social media but were merely work colleagues, adding that it was "nice to have a familiar face" when she entered the villa.

However things soon took a sour turn between Olivia and Zara after subtle digs were made, with Zara seemingly sparking the feud by branding Olivia "two-faced" in a challenge.

Olivia told the publication that she "didn't expect to fall out with" Zara, but added the love triangle was intense.

But upon reflection, Olivia has hinted that she thinks the pair were "played against each other".

She said: "But looking back now I feel like we were played against each other and I wish that hadn't happened. But we left on a high and we cleared things.

"But nothing had happened with us when she came in. I thought she was a great girl and I still do."

And it's not the first time that Olivia has seemingly hit out at the show, following her appearance on Aftersun where she exposed some convenient editing.

Talking about Movie Night where Olivia had been talking about the girls, Olivia declared that she'd already told the islanders everything beforehand.

She said: "I think the reaction from Samie, it wasn't to that clip, so…" Olivia started before she was quickly cut off by Maya who shushed her.

Fans have since questioned whether Olivia has been "edited badly" after Maya appeared to silence Olivia following her confession.

She was booted out of the villa alongside her partner Maxwell after a public vote.

The remaining islanders now all stand to land a place in the final which takes place on Monday, March 13.
