LOVE Island’s Tasha Ghouri is more than prepared to take on any trolls that might take a swipe when she leaves the villa — because the hearing impaired-model has been a target for bullies since she was just 14 years old.
Tasha, who was born deaf and now wears a cochlear implant, was savagely abused online by tyrants who called her and her friends ‘fat’ and told them to ‘get cancer and die’ through anonymous messages on a site called ask.fm.
The brave model fought back and launched a campaign to raise awareness.
In an unearthed clip from BBC News in 2012, Tasha’s dad Tarek Ghouri tells a reporter: “My daughter was being abused online.
"I researched it and was horrified to see ask.fm allowed anonymous posts. I felt compelled to do something.
"I raised awareness with the school because even though it happens out of school the impact happens in school.”

Love Island’s first deaf contestant Tasha Ghouri revealed
Tasha, now 23 and part of the ITV2 original's cast, added: "Some of the comments were, 'go and get cancer, you don't belong here, go and die, go and hang yourself, you're flat chested, your family's ugly'.
"It's horrible things.
“One of my friends has now gone very quiet. She has no idea how to handle it. She's really upset by it — I know she is."
Tasha has now become a campaigner for hearing loss after an image of her wearing the implant while modelling earrings for ASOS went viral.
