Sam Dingle (James Hooton) is inspired by Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) to bring his wife’s abuser to justice in Emmerdale spoilers. What will Sam do to Craig Reed (Ben Addis)?
Sam feels helpless and unsure how to handle things after his wife’s admission that she was raped by her childhood friend, Craig.
Sam hopes to get through to Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) by spending the day together, but she turns down his offer. Matters only get worse when a police officer reveals that Craig has been released pending further investigation which puts Lydia on edge.
Determined to help, Sam opens up to Rhona Goskirk (Rhona Henry) who agrees to visit Lydia.
Rhona sits with Lydia as she finally manages to open up about her ordeal. What they don’t realise is that Sam has been listening and is horrified that Craig might go unpunished for what he’s done.
When Sam reveals his concerns to Cain, he’s left wondering whether he should bring Craig to justice himself.
There is progress however when Lydia returns from her counselling session and Sam is full of admiration for her bravery – it seems their relationship is back on track.
Across the village, Amit Sharma (Anil Goutam) is secretly pleased when Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon Raman) asks him to stay in the village. But the tables are soon turned when Amit attempts to emotionally blackmail him.
Nicky Miligan (Lewis Cope) lends an ear and Suni reveals what’s going on. Suni wants the whole thing to go away as a dumbfounded Nicky listens to Amit’s secret.
One person not fooled by Amit as he recalls old tales is Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson).
The following day, Caleb and Amit size each other up as they meet for dinner as Nicky and Suni exchange looks, hoping certain things won’t come out.
What Nicky isn’t expecting is for Ami to question his relationship with Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) and the atmosphere turns icy as Caleb and Nicky make a hasty exit.
After their unsuccessful dinner, Caleb’s intrigued when Nicky hints at Amit having skeletons in his closet. Could Caleb be about to do some digging into Amit?
Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell) is emotional when she receives a birthday card from Dan Spencer (Liam Fox) who’s still behind bars.
Plus, with encouragment from Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) and Jacob Gallagher (Joe-Warren Plant) David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) chats to one of his dating app matches, could there be romance in their air?
