Married At First SightUK’s Matt Murray left his partner Whitney Hughes, and the show’s viewers, in shock as he revealed a new tattoo in her honour.
The couple have been at the centre of the show’s biggest controversy, with both of themoriginally paired up with someone else.
After they sensationally declared their feelings for each other, Matt and Whitney were allowed to remain in the experiment together.
And the pair seem to be moving incredibly fast. Having already said they love one another, Matt revealed in Monday's episode that he has permanently inked his love for Whitney on his body.
The happy couple quizzed each other about themselves, asking questions about birthdays and mum’s names.
After Whitney joked that she wanted a prize for getting the answers correct, Matt replied that he could give her “something more permanent” than a prize.
When they were on their mini break, the duo told the other that they appreciated each other – and Matt then revealed he has since had “I appreciate you” tattooed on his leg.
“We now have that little memory,” he said. “which is not going anywhere.”
Looking at her beau’s new tattoo, Whitney first appeared to be shocked, as were many viewers at home.
The bride told Matt that she was in shock and that it’s “f*cking mad” that he has the design on his leg, before giving him a kiss.
She then declared: “That’s really f*cking sweet,” before revealing that she also had something for him, although it wasn't quite as permanent as a tattoo.
Whitney handed Matt a photograph of the couple, with “I appreciate you too” printed underneath.
After the episode aired Whitney shared a picture of Matt’s tattoo on Instagram, captioning it: “So… this happened.”
And it wasn’t just Whitney who was shocked at the tattoo reveal, with one fan taking to Twitter to write: “NO WAY HE GOT A TATTOO [crying emoji].
“Matt and Whitney are growing on me this is so cute,” wrote another.
However not everyone was a fan, with on viewer arguing: “Sorry… but that tattoo is so f*cking cringe …”
And a second critic added: “I don’t know what’s more painful. My tinnitus or the bullsh*t that comes out of Matt & Whitney….”
