Maisie Smith emotional as she misses her ‘little girl’ during Celeb SAS stint

Maisie Smith admitted the thing she missed most while appearing on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins was her “little girl”.

The EastEnders actress, 21, has been taking part in the gruelling reality show – and celebrated as she passed the course tonight (October 16).

Four celebrities in total passed the condensed version of the training course: Maisie, Ferne McCann, AJ Pritchard and Calum Best.

Making the announcement, Chief Instructor Rudy Reyes told the squad: “From day one, we demanded 100%. Into your tasks, into your discipline, into your teamwork. Which of you gave everything they had? That's what we demand.

“Congratulations. You all have passed this course. Job well done.”

But for Maisie, the thing she missed most from home wasn’t a thing at all – but her beloved pet pooch.

She said: “I think the one thing I've missed the most is my little girl. When I say my little girl, I mean my dog because she's my world and I can't wait to get home and sniff her little belly.

“My dog's a 15 year old Jack Russell, and she's called Betty and she's the light of my life.”

Maisie also struggled with not being able to relax in a hot bath while living at the SAS camp, commenting: “I have at least four [baths] a week, so that was hard, getting to bed, sandy. I think that was a bit of a struggle.

“But at the same time, I felt like I was having a sleepover every night over my friends, so I was actually quite fun.”

Despite crying “ten times a day”, Maisie admitted she found a new version of herself while taking part in the show, which – along with difficult physical challenges – saw its contestants challenged mentally through a disturbing interrogation process.

The star said: “I mean, it's been nine days and already I feel like I've found a new person within me. I feel like a completely different person. I feel stronger. I feel smarter, braver, wiser.

“I think mental strength is always more important than physical strength, which I proved because I was always at the end, I was always the last place, but I never stopped giving 100%. And that's all in there.

“The biggest muscle is between the ears.”
