Chesney Brown (Sam Aston) and Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) prepare to walk down the aisle as Coronation Street films the upcoming wedding scenes.
The big day was set in motion earlier this year, after Gemma revealed that she’d like to get married, which came as news to Chesney.
The cost of living crisis has proved challenging for the couple, with things becoming even more complicated after Gemma received a high gas bill.
Paul Foreman (Peter Ash), meanwhile, had planned to help Gemma out with her financial worries, but he’s been unable to work after an accident.
The wedding day is approaching, however, with cast members of the ITV soap having been spotted filming on-location, with Sam Aston, Jane Hazelgrove, William Flanagan, Alan Halsall and Jimmi Harkishin, who play Chesney, Bernie, Joseph, Tyrone and Dev respectively, all pictured.
Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew, was also snapped on set, as was EastEnders legend Jacqueline Leonard, who played Linda Hancock on the ITV soap, confirming that she will be back on the cobbles for the big wedding.
But will she bring with her more drama?
Peter Ash was also pictured as Paul Foreman, who will – in upcoming scenes – be diagnosed with motor neurone disease.
‘He gets informed that they are going to be testing for MND,’ Peter explained when this storyline was announced.
‘Paul doesn’t really know what that is so he has to ask a bit and the consultant explains these would be the symptoms if it is MND, and I think from that point he just goes into shock, really, from then.’
The soap star added: ‘‘In his own mind Paul’s not looking positive on it at all. He kind of thinks he’s got it. He’s not been told he’s got it yet, he’s been told they’re testing for it, but in Paul’s head as far as he’s concerned that’s what it is.’
Gemma, meanwhile, wasn’t papped during this particular shoot, though Metro.co.uk did recently obtain on-location pictures of star Dolly-Rose Campbell filming scenes at a bridal store, with Gemma taking to one dress in particular if you’re keen for a first look.
Will the big day end in disaster? Or will it all go off without a hitch, so to speak?
Coronation Street has been busy filming on-location as of late, with several cast and crew members spotted earlier this week shooting stalker Justin Rutherford’s (Andrew Still) trial.
Justin, as viewers know, had been stalking Daisy Midgeley (Charlotte Jordan) for months, and the storyline reached a shocking dramatic peak last week, when Daisy, on the day of her wedding to Daniel Osbourne (Rob Mallard), was confronted by vengeful Justin the Rovers.

Telling Daisy no-one would want her ‘after this’, the vile stalker threw acid at her, but Ryan Connor (Ryan Prescott) selflessly threw himself in harms way, being left in agony as Daisy attempted to help him as they waited for an ambulance.
Cast members were spotted earlier this week, with Ryan Prescott – who plays Ryan – among those present, confirming that the character will face his attacker in court.
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
