The 46-year-old answered: “So you’ll deploy this skill at home?”

Mr Hancock resigned from his health secretary position in June 2021 after it was revealed he had broken his own Covid-19 regulations by kissing Ms Coladangelo, who worked as his former aide.

Mr Hancock also said during the episode that it’s “impossible to serve in government and not appreciate and respect the work that the special forces do”.

The politician took part in last year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! much to the surprise of fans, and his current Channel 4 reality show stint was rumoured earlier this year.

Last week, Mr Hancock argued two of his Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins co-stars were lacking in “integrity” after they “cheated” in the reality show.

Upon learning that former Love Island duo Montana Brown and Teddy Soares had skipped a series of gruelling exercises, Matt ranted about their “stupidity”.

“How can you be so stupid? “I mean, of course, you’ve got to do the whole thing, right?” he said.

“The Directing staff put such an emphasis on integrity that you’ve just got to do it.”

“There’s no hiding place, and there’s literally no hiding place in this case. It is about integrity!” he exclaimed.

The group had been given with six exercises around camp, but Montana and Teddy decided to skip the series of burpees they were supposed to be doing.

Unfortunately for them, they were soon found out, despite thinking they’d got away with their plan.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is on Channel 4 at 9pm on Sundays.
