Confirming the news, Love Island USA wrote: "This just in… @maurahiggins will be your social ambassador this season bringing (sneaking) you the BTS scoop all summer!"

When it comes to matters relating to the heart, Maura has certainly been busy.
The TV star came skipping out of the villa very much loved-up with Strictly Come Dancing star Curtis Pritchard.
At the time, the pair really seemed to be into one another and fans were hopeful the couple would last the test of time.
But during Maura's Dancing On Ice team, she took to her Instagram platform to announce that she and the dancer were heading their separate ways.
According to Curtis, he had no idea about Maura's plan to confirm their break-up on social media.
Dancing On Ice curse
After making such an impression on Love Island viewers, Maura was invited to be a contestant on ITV's Dancing On Ice.
The stunning lingerie model was partnered-up with Alexander Demetriou – with the pair having instant chemistry throughout their experience.
While Maura and Alex claim to this day that they were never anything more than just "friends", alarm bells started to ring for ITV viewers as they suspected romance could be in the air.
The Love Island star was now a free agent after announcing her split with Curtis Pritchard, with dancer Alexander soon following suit, confirming he'd also parted ways from his wife Carlotta Edwards after four years of marriage.
At the time rumours began to swirl that the pair could have been dating but Maura certainly put speculation to bed during a Q&A with Instagram fans.
Hitting out at inquisitive online users, the TV star shot back: "It doesn't bother me. We're in 2020 and a man and woman cannot just be friends.."
Joey Essex snog and new boyfriend
Maura was pictured kissing TOWIE hunk Joey Essex at the Pride of Britain Awards last year.
The two TV stars were seen getting cosy before reportedly leaving in a shared taxi, and reports emerged that they'd enjoyed secret dates.
But Maura slammed the rumours when she shared a headline that read: "Maura Higgins and Joey Essex ‘smitten’ after secret dates before public snog".
She wrote: "More rubbish" alongside a yawning emoji.
Maura seemed to confirm her new romance with hunky boyfriend Bobby Holland, Chris Hemsworth's stunt double.
The pair were spotted sharing steamy kisses in Ibiza back in June after being spotted on a date together in London.
Dazzling lingerie snaps
The Irish model was believed to have landed herself a mega amount of cash after landing herself a lucrative deal with lingerie specialists Ann Summers.
It was speculated at the time that Maura had quickly became a self-made-millionaire after being so in-demand with online retailers.
The Sun claimed that the former grid girl had made £500,000 from both clothing brand Boohoo and Ann Summers.
They also claimed she'd bagged herself and additional £250k from tan company Bellamianta and further £150k for her stint on Dancing on Ice.
A source told the publication at the time: "Maura will be lapping up the fact Love Island is cancelled this summer.
"Given the winter series failed to produce any real stars, she can continue to secure the most lucrative brand deals.
"She's a canny operator and knows she has a shelf-life, but Maura is definitely maximising her current popularity."
Chris Taylor
Much to Love Island fans delight, Maura's friendship with funnyman and former ITV2 co-star Chris Taylor materialised into a blossoming romance.
As speculation grew that the pair were more than just friends, Chris and Maura decided to let the cat out of the bag – confirming they'd fallen for one another.
Along with a sweet snap of the couple staring into each others eyes, Chris captioned: ""Turns out I fell in love with my best mate @maurahiggins."
Sadly, it wasn't to be, and just a few months after sharing their love with the world, the pair called time on their romance.
Giovanni Pernice
The Italian Strictly Come Dancing star caught the attention of the social media influencer – with eagle-eyed Instagram fans calling out their alleged romance after they'd noted the pair were following each other.
Soon after speculation had mounted, Maura and Giovanni shared a sweet beach snap of themselves to confirm that they were an item.
Maura wrote: "I'm yours," with a red heart emoji, with Giovanni sharing a snap to his own profile, writing: "You're mine."
However, it appeared to be more of a whirlwind romance as the couple soon announced they were parting ways.
According to reports, Maura was left heartbroken after it was suggested that Giovanni had been the one who called time on their romance.
Since then, the reality star has deleted all trace of the Latin American champion from her profile, telling pals she had "to move on".
