Max Turner’s (Paddy Bever) friend, Gav (Noah Olaoye) is released from the STC in upcoming Coronation Street episodes with only one person on his mind – Bec.
Max met Gav while in the STC for his involvement in Griff’s extremism gang. He hasn’t actually told Gav the truth about his arrest, but they developed a friendship and before Max was released, he told Gav that he’d find Bec, his girlfriend.
Max was successful in finding Bec but as they got to know each other, Bec decided to forget about Gav and move on.

Because Max has tried his best to turn his life around after time behind bars, he hasn’t actually told Gav about Bec’s latest move for fear of a bad reaction and getting into trouble.
This proves a bit of a problem as next week, Gav’s released from the STC an announces that he wants to marry Bec.
Max is then left with no choice but to tell Gav that Bec has moved on and is going out with him now, prompting a furious reaction from his friend.
Later in the week, Max’s head turns again by the return of Lauren (Cait Fitton) – who he met while in Griff’s gang.
Lauren reveals that she fell out with her mum, wants nothing more to do with her dad or his right-wing mates, and spent last night kipping in the bus station.
Feeling sorry for her, Max takes Lauren to the café, but where will this lead?
Maybe Gav and Bec will end up back together after all?
