Thomas Markle ‘desperate to reconcile’ with Meghan
Monday’s Dan Wootton Tonight on GB News saw the broadcaster discussing the latest on the Duchess of Sussex after her father and siblings gave an explosive interview.
As Dan accused Meghan Markle of attempting to steal the limelight of the upcoming Coronation of King Charles, guest Carole Marole talked about the rift between Meghan and her father, Thomas.
The journalist argued the Duchess should reconnect with her dad before he dies or she will be “haunted” by the decision.
It comes as Thomas, 78, gave an interview explaining his disappointment his daughter hadn’t reached out after he suffered a debilitating stroke last year.
In a fresh rant about Meghan, Dan fumed: “There was absolutely no need for Meghan to reappear over the last week with these three publicity stunts.
“I can see what she’s trying to do, she wants to insert herself into the conversation.”
“Yeah, yeah, that’s exactly what she wants,” Carole agreed. “However, I mean, the idea that she would overshadow the Coronation because she’s had a new hair do… if she thinks that’s the case then she’s gone further down the rabbit hole than we thought.”
The broadcaster went on: “But you know, when you watch that film there, I feel desperately sorry for Thomas Markle.
“He has been manipulated and he was being a bit manipulated in that interview.

“But what he’s saying is that, you know, it is his dying wish that he is reunited with his daughter.
“And, you know, you hear him slurring, he’s learned to speak again, it’s been almost a year since he’s been able to speak properly, and the one thing he’s saying is, ‘How can I fix this?’
“He’s begging his daughter, he’s literally begging her. He shouldn’t have to beg the girl he brought up almost single-handed.
“Even if they don’t get together as a family again, even if they don’t see each other, she should make time for him before he dies.
“Because I’ll tell you what, if you don’t do that with families – if you let someone die on you in the way that Thomas Markle is going to die, I suspect, without seeing his daughter – it will haunt her.
“You don’t get away without scars with that, and I think you’re right to talk about, you know, this is a woman who sells herself on compassion.
“Where is her compassion for this man who may not be in this world for very much longer?”
