He’s been at the centre of love triangles, rows, fights and gossip, but Miles Nazaire insists that for once he’s not at the forefront of the drama as Made In Chelsea returns. In typical summer fashion, the cast are ditching the trendy Bluebird café and heading to the sunny island of Corsica for their ninth series abroad.
“The heat rises and the drama rises even more,” teases Miles, 27. “Honestly, from the day we landed, it all kicked off. So it was very fun but very dramatic."

“I’m so grateful to be in Corsica because I’m half French – it was lovely to be there and speak my language. It did get annoying at times though – we would do dinners with 14 of us and everyone was looking at me to order their mains!”
Miles joined MIC back in 2018 and has had lots of juicy storylines, mostly potential will-they-won’t-they romances with the likes of Emily Blackwell and Yaz Zweegers. But that’s set to change this series, as Miles confirms he’s loved-up with new girlfriend Amélie Esquenet.
“I made it official with a pizza box, very cheesy!” laughs Miles. “Amélie and I only started speaking halfway through the trip. When I came back, we started dating and it’s been going great.”
But fans may be disappointed to hear Amélie won’t be making much of an appearance on the show just yet.
“I want to keep it a little bit separate,” admits Miles. “She’s very busy and I don’t think it works with her lifestyle. I want to respect how she wants to do things. She’s been amazing with me and very understanding that I’m on TV and have a large social media following. There may be a little scene here and there, but she won’t be part of the cast.”
Happy to take a back seat, Miles teases that he headed to Corsica for a good time and enjoyed watching the drama unfold between everyone else.
“My storyline is very much tamer than everyone else’s,” reveals Miles. “I was very much Temps’ [David Templer] friend out there, to help him with what he was going through. Don’t get me wrong, I somehow get involved with other people’s dramas as well, which I never plan to, but I guess old habits die hard.
“But I really loved the fact that I was out there enjoying my time and not focusing too much on what everyone else was doing. And look, if people got annoyed with me, they got annoyed with me. Hey, that’s their fault, not mine.”
While other stories might be more dramatic, Miles explains that he and good mate Temps have a major fallout on the show.
“I’m very vocal in terms of what I believe is the right thing. My issue is that I’m protective. I’ll tell him, ‘Look, I’m here to help you and open your eyes on a situation where someone could be taking advantage of you.’
“Having that clash taught me a lot about our friendship. I saw how he deals with his personal relationships and how I had to be a friend to him,” continues Miles.
“And I guess when you don’t really see clearly, you’re in attack mode, aren’t you? Even if it’s one of your closest friends. So I think that’s why we had a bit of a spat. But we sort it out, we would never lose our friendship over a silly argument.”
Fans are bound to be surprised by their feud, but Miles teases that something else happens while on the island that will completely shock everyone.
“There’s going to be an episode which I think could be one of the strongest snippets of reality TV to this day,” reveals Miles. “You will laugh, cry and be shocked – I don’t know how to explain it. There are things I didn’t even think my friends would do because it’s just overstepping that line and they do it anyway.”
Luckily, it’s not all catfights and backstabbing, Miles explains that living with the cast meant some funny moments during filming as well.
“We’ve got Freddy Knatchbull, who’s a delight, he’s young, the new kid on the block, just brilliant,” praises Miles. “One time I woke up at, like, 3am to get some water from the kitchen, and he’s downstairs eating a whole pack of Camembert cheese.
“He looks at me – like Gollum with the ring. He was so startled and couldn’t believe I’d found him. And I was like, ‘Do you do this most evenings?’ and he said ‘Yeah, I just love cheese in the night.’ That was quite weird.”
Now, the cast are back on their home turf in London and are ready to dive right in on series 26, where the events of the summer continue to have ramifications.
“I can’t really say much,” says Miles. “But everyone was a little bit taken back by the events that happened on the trip. I can tell you one thing – it doesn’t end in Corsica. We’re filming the series at the moment, and it’s still going on now.”
