Nadira Valli (Ashling O’Shea) has joined a long list of Hollyoaks favourites who’ve found themselves caught in Rayne Royce’s (Jemma Donovan) twisted web of lies on Thursday (August 24).
Rayne, as viewers know, will do just about anything to get what she wants, and what she wants is money for a deposit on a posh house, which she intends to use as part of a plan to save her tanking career.
With James Nightingale (Gregory Finnegan) having declined to help and Lacey Lloyd (Annabelle Davis) not having that sort of cash to hand, the social media superstar turned her attention to Nadira, who coincidentally just landed a big job working for Rafe Harcourt (Chris Gordon).
See where this is going?
Knowing that Nadira had access to Lord Rafe’s company credit card, the influencer attempted to sweet talk the wedding planner into using the card in question to help her out.
Initially, Nadira saw right through Rayne, shocked by her audacity to ask such a thing but, like she always does, Rayne changed gears, concocting a sob story about how she’ll lose the opportunity to use the manor house if she doesn’t put down a holding deposit within the next two hours.
A total lie.
Being the good-hearted person that she is, Nadira eventually caved, allowing her girlfriend’s bestie use of Rafe’s credit card for the deposit, having been promised that no funds would actually be withdrawn from the Earl’s account.
But if there’s two things we know about Rayne, she’s got a penchant for lying and a tendency to serve herself and only herself, so it’s likely that Nadira will be in a whole world of trouble from her employer when the truth comes out, thus making her yet another victim of Rayne’s reign of terror.
