The network’s new NCIS spin-off has proven just as popular as the mainline series, and millions of fans are awaiting a new mission with the NCIS: Hawaii team on Monday evening. With just a few episodes left for this season on CBS, main cast member Jason Antoon has confirmed the cast are now heading on a well-earned break.
The Ernie Malick star announced the stars of NCIS: Hawaii have wrapped up their filming commitments for season two.
On his Twitter page, he shared a selfie of himself along with fellow agents Tori Anderson, Yasmine Al-Bustami, and Kai Holman.
All four stars looked into the camera with a grumpy expressions, whilst Kate Whistler star Anderson rested her chin on the head of her on-screen girlfriend, Lucy Tara’s Bustami.
In the caption, Antoon wrote: “Sadness the band – wrapping up season 2.”
Tarrant replied with crying and smiling emojis and wrote: “Sad happy.”
Antoon’s post sparked an emotional reaction from fans who are excited to see the final stretch of the spin-off’s current outing.
@gini__us replied: “Y’all deserve to get some very much-needed rest, to enjoy with your friends and family and recharge your batteries for filming season three. We are gonna miss you though.”
NCIS fan @hawaii001105 wrote: “It feels like yesterday you guys started filming season two, time goes by so quickly. Hope y’all enjoy your break!”
“Absolutely love this crew!” @karen_svu_21 exclaimed. “While we are sad season two is wrapping up, you all deserve a break and we cannot wait for season three! I know I’m so happy you all will be back!”
@dd2180 said: “Aww, sad for you as well, but grateful there’s going to be a season 3. Love to you all.”
“Oh my, I feel the sadness,” Kerri Camic admitted.

As several fans pointed out, they won’t need to wait much longer for more missions from the Hawaii team as a third season is indeed in the works.
The spin-off’s renewal was announced alongside the 21st season of the flagship NCIS drama last month, and all the main cast are expected to return.
In the meantime, the Pearl Harbor agents will return to screens this Monday for the 17th episode of season two, entitled Money Honey.
An official synopsis reads: “Captain Joe Milius (played by Enver Gjokaj) returns to Hawai’i as the NCIS team pursues a dangerous high-value U.S. Government target with the help of a unique informant.
“Jane Tennant (Vanessa Lachey) and Daniel (Anthony Ruivivar) deal with Alex’s acceptance into the Naval Academy.”
NCIS: Hawaii season 2 continues Mondays on CBS in the USA and is available to stream on Disney+ in the UK.
