Delta Goodrem addresses Neighbours return
Singer Delta Goodrem hasn’t ruled out a return to the upcoming Neighbours reboot, although she also managed to have a sly dig at the iconic Australian soap in the process.
Appearing on This Morning, she was asked by host Andi Peters about the possibility of appearing in the resurrected show, which has been saved by Amazon Freevee following its axing last year.
“I’m always open. I’m always an open spirit. Never say never,” she said.
“Nina [her character] is busy at the moment with her tour but at some point… I mean I love Neighbours, I love the gang there, it’s a great show. I love that it’s continuing on,” she said.
However, she then stuck the knife in laughing: “I actually said that I think they just wanted to… Update the backstage maybe…Because the same couch had been there for a long time.”

Delta, 38, played aspiring singer Nina from 2002 until 2005, and returned again in 2015.
However, she was noticeably absent from last year’s finale which saw the return of many of the classic departed stars of the soap make cameo appearances.
Among those who returned for what was supposed to be the show’s last ever episode were Kylie Minogue, Jason Donovan and Hollywood stars Margot Robbie and Guy Pearce.
However, just months later though, Amazon confirmed it would be rebooting the series.
It has since confirmed new episodes of the soap will be landing on the platform on September 18.

Jason Herbison, Neighbours’ executive producer, said: “All the cast and crew are incredibly excited that Ramsay Street will officially welcome viewers again to the neighbourhood on September 18 in the UK and Australia, and also be introduced to brand new audiences in the US and Canada when the new chapter of Neighbours is unveiled.”
The new episodes of the long-running soap following the lives of the residents of Ramsay Street in the fictional suburb of Erinsborough, Australia, will pick up from where the 2022 “finale” left off.
