COMEDIAN Ellie Taylor hilariously mocked the show’s infamous curse and Tess Daly’s smile in a sketch – four years before signing up to take part.
The 38-year-old was unveiled as the ninth famous face to be joining the show this series and is clearly no stranger to the rumours surrounding pairings on the show.
Appearing as newsreader Susan Traherne on The Mash Report, Ellie featured in a sketch about the Strictly curse.
She started: “The favourite dancing show continues to be dogged by infidelity, experts studying the so called Strictly curse have been unable to fathom how two people spending days rubbing their genitals together to romantic music could possibly end up shagging.”
The "curse" is a phenomenon that hits celebrities and their dance partners during their time on Strictly Come Dancing.
Due to the harsh schedules, sexy dance moves and close quarters with their partners, their off-screen romances sometimes suffer as a result.

Strictly became regarded as "cursed" after a series of very public break-ups from show participants – and ever since, more and more fan favourites have succumbed.
Over the course of 18 series of the BBC favourite, nearly a dozen couples have split up thanks to their time on the show.
The sketch then featured a ‘scientist’ mocking how it could possibly happen, before meeting a ‘couple’ from the show.
The pair made a series of jokes pretending to be completely at ease with being so close and even made light about what the celebs say about their spouses – insisting they are great friends with the dancer.

Back in the studio, Ellie – still in character, added: “It seems we will never know how these relationships turn sexual, that friendship seemed as genuinely sweet as Tess Daly’s smile.”
Ted Lasso star Ellie was announced on Lorraine today as she prepares to take to the dancefloor.
The mum-of-one said: “Well, cover me in fake tan and roll me in sequins! I'm absolutely over the moon to be a part of Strictly 2022!
"I've watched the show for years so to be able to take to the dance floor is a dream come true, for both me and mum who is a Strictly super fan!
"At the moment I'm focusing on the excitement and glitter and choosing to ignore the fact that I have the dancing ability of a newly born giraffe. Bring it on!"
