James Bond: Producers ‘want someone in his 30s’ says King
It’s been almost two years since No Time To Die hit cinemas, which also marked the explosive end to Daniel Craig’s 007.
Even before the spy blockbuster was released, fans were speculating over just who could be the next James Bond.
And now there’s been a shake-up in the latest set of odds as Henry Cavill’s chances of being cast have been slashed.
The 40-year-old famously auditioned for the role back in 2005, but was beaten to Casino Royale by the out-going star himself.
Nevertheless, he’s spoken publicly in recent years about being open to talks with EON Productions and now his odds have been cut from 4-1 to 3-1.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Henry Cavill is now challenging Aaron Taylor-Johnson for favouritism in our next James Bond market. The British actor has been well backed in the last few days.”
Taylor-Johnson, who’s been rumoured to have had a secret audition with Barbara Broccoli, is currently the frontrunner on 11-4.
Yet there are other hot contenders in the bookies’ next Bond race too.
