Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) was left reeling in Emmerdale after discovering that one of the girl gang who brutally attacked her in June was Naomi (Karene Peter) – Charles (Kevin Mathurin)’s daughter.
After recognising Naomi’s voice and the shoes that she was wearing on the night of the attack, Nicola told the police and Naomi was taken in for questioning – but denied any involvement in the incident.
In upcoming episodes Nicola despairs when Harriet (Katherine Dow Blyton) tells her that they don’t have enough evidence to prosecute Naomi, since she is still insisting she’s innocent.
Nicola decides that the only way she’s going to get justice is to take matters into her own hands and confronts Charles, blaming him for his daughter’s violent actions. She says she can end his and Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker)’s careers by linking them with the violent gang, as it wouldn’t be a great look for either a vicar or a GP. Charles is horrified by her threats.
Later, after Naomi has once again refused to tell Nicola the truth about the attack, Nicola doubles down on her threats – leaving Charles feeling uneasy about what might happen next.
Will Nicola go through with the violence she’s threatening against Naomi?
