Noah Dingle (Jack Downham) took a chance on love in Thursday’s (July 27) episode of Emmerdale and decided to propose to Amelia Spencer (Daisy Campbell).
But he certainly wasn’t expecting her response.
Amelia has had an awful lot on her shoulders as of late. After the arrival of her stalker Lloyd, Amelia has been facing the prospect of losing her dad after he punched Lloyd and put him in a coma.
The thought of losing Dan (Liam Fox) is terrifying for Amelia, but she has had support from the likes of Mandy (Lisa Riley) and also Noah, who decided to go a step further with showing how much he wants to commit to being her partner.

During a walk through the outskirts of the village, Noah had fashioned a ring out of some grass and decided to use it during his proposal.
He got down on one knee and asked Amelia to marry him but she said no, arguing that it was a little too soon to be thinking about wedding outfits and spending the rest of their lives together.
Noah said that Jai (Chris Bisson) and Laurel’s (Charlotte Bellamy) wedding got him thinking about being there ‘for better or for worse’ and wanted to prove that to Amelia.
The young teen said that she didn’t need a wedding. She reminded Noah that she loves him and joked that it’s probably best if he keeps away from all things church related for a little while.
Back at home, a somewhat embarassed Noah chatted to Dan about his proposal.
Dan was moved to discover that Noah was willing to step up for Amelia and said that if the time ever comes, he will be a very proud father-in-law.
So, it’s a no for now, but with Dan facing potentially years behind bars, at least he can sleep a little easier knowing that Noah will be around to support Amelia.
