Dave Hill gives update on Noddy’s health
Noddy Holder’s former Slade bandmate Dave Hill appeared on This Morning on Friday and was asked how the singer was doing by hosts Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary.
Alison, 48, asked: “How is Noddy? Because we know he’s now cancer-free isn’t he?”
Dave responded: “Yeah, I think like a lot of things, Noddy is doing well. I think with cancer, you always have to be mindful, you know, having checks, nobody can say exactly.
“But the thing about Noddy is he looks great and he’s gone through something, and you do have to have checks. I mean, I had a stroke years ago, so when each of us has something like that, Noddy and I were together the other day and we have great laughs.
“You have to move on, Noddy looks great and his voice is doing great,” the musician added before the interview drew to a close.

This Morning viewers took to X, formerly known as Twitter to comment on Dave’s appearance on the daytime programme.
One fan wrote: “What a legend, great to see Dave Hill looking so well #thismorning.” Another viewer said: “I loved Slade as a kid. However, I bet that Dave’s hair is attached to his hat and not his head. You never see him not wearing one. #ThisMorning.”
A third added: “#ThisMorning I always loved #DaveHill And all of #Slade but loved loved #Dave,” while a fourth X user asked: “Where’s Noddy? #thismorning.”
It was revealed in October that Noddy has been secretly battling cancer for the past five years. In a revelation made by his wife Suzan, she wrote in an article for Great British Life: “Five years ago we were given the devastating news that he had oesophageal cancer and only had six months to live.

“I’m sorry if that comes as a bit of a shock; it came as a total bombshell to us too. We coped with it the only way we could, by hunkering down, sticking together, and doing everything we could to survive it.”
The singer has since undergone a course of experimental treatment as part of a brand-new trial of intense chemotherapy.
Noddy was treated in The Christie Hospital, which is the lead cancer centre for the Greater Manchester and Cheshire Cancer Network.
Suzan paid tribute to the staff there and also credited Noddy’s strength with helping him through the process, explaining: “You need so much mental strength to get through something like this.
