NOUGHTIES pop legend Vanessa Carlton looks unrecognisable 21 years after her smash hit A Thousand Miles.
The 42-year-old is best known for the iconic tune – which topped the charts when it was released in 2002.
Vanessa was just 21 when she released A Thousand Miles and went on to have a very successful singing career.
The tune received worldwide success, reaching number one in Australia, number three in Ireland, and number five in the US.
A Thousand Miles also placed in the top 10 for Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, France and the UK.
And the song was even used in a scene of comedy film White Chicks.

Since then Vanessa has kept on doing what she loves the most and released a number of albums.
Those include Be Not Nobody, Harmonium, Heroes & Thieves, Rabbits on the Run, Liberman and Love is an Art.
The star came out as bisexual in 2010.
While headlining Nashville Pride, Vanessa said: "I've never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman."

Three years later the singer had an ectopic pregnancy after revealing she was expecting her first child with then-fiancé John McCauley.
The star, who has Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, previously explained that falling pregnant was a shock because of her condition.
Speaking about what happened, Vanessa previously said: "I was very in tune with what was going on and I really wanted to track it as if I was a high risk pregnancy.
"Even though I knew something was funny, the doctor couldn't tell me it was an ectopic [pregnancy] until I was further along.
"That's one of the tricky and frustrating things about it."
She added: "I'm a very private person but this is, for a lot of women, it's very personal.
"I felt it was such an unusual situation, I had never even heard of what an ectopic pregnancy was until it happened to me and I felt like I was just so desperate to hear about other women's experiences with it."
The couple, who tied the knot in 2013, then welcomed their daughter into the world in 2016.
