The 38-year-old has now teased he could be making a return to The X Factor though. After a successful few years on ITV favourite The Voice, the singer has said there is potential for him to go back to where it all began if the series returns next year.
Olly made it to the final of The X Factor and narrowly lost out on being crowned the winner, but his career has been hugely successful.
The Dance With Me Tonight singer commented on the speculated return of The X Factor.
He stated: “I love the show. I love everything about it! And there’s definitely things that I think it can improve on.”
Speaking to The Mirror, he continued: “Simon [Cowell] knows where I am if he ever wanted to have a chat about it. I’d love to be involved!”
Following his stint on the competition, Olly presented the 2015 show alongside Caroline Flack.
The pair had previously hosted spin-off show The Xtra Factor.

He added: “The most important thing is the show took a break. It was a bit tired. I would love it if it came back, because that show’s given me so much.”
Simon revealed earlier in the year the singing show could make a comeback early next year.
The X Factor hasn’t aired since 2018 after 14 consecutive series on ITV.
In 2010, X-Factor’s viewership peaked six years after it was created, and from here would steadily decline until 2018 when the show was axed.
Rumours have circulated that a potential 2023 series will be switching to Channel 5.
Back in June, ITV shut down rumours that the show would be returning to the channel.
A spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “There are no current plans for the show to return.”
According to The Daily Star, Simon struck up a deal with Channel 5.
A TV insider told the publication: “As soon as X-Factor was up for grabs, there was interest from a number of the networks.
“X-Factor is one of the most iconic shows in TV history, so it’s no surprise lots of channels were keen. The production company had their pick.
“After a lot of meetings, execs decided to go with Channel 5.”
They went on to add: “This is the start of a new chapter for X Factor.
“Moving to a new channel gives the creative team a chance to completely revamp the format and do something different.”
The latest winner of the series was Dalton Harris, and the series introduced some huge names in the world of entertainment, including Leona Lewis, One Direction and Alexandra Burke.
