Our Yorkshire Farm star Amanda Owen has opened up on her “tough” split from husband Clive.

The couple shared the news of their separation back in June, with the 48-year-old appearing on ITV’s Lorraine this week to chat about her experience.

Christine Lampard, filling in for Lorraine Kelly, asked how dealing with such a public break-up went down, with Christine commenting: “Life has carried on as normal, certainly in terms of family and the farm.”

Amanda said: “It does, that is the reality.

“It's really tough and it's a really difficult aspect of it to get across, but when you do reality [TV], it has to be just that.”

She added: “That means it covers the ups and downs and that can be on any level.

"So life carries on, on the farm, obviously there is a whole [range] of things to do.

"I have nine children, a whole heap of animals, and we are just working away the same as before because, at the end of the day, our priority remains to keep everything going.

"There you go, that's how it is, I felt it needed to be put out there."

Amanda and Clive initially met back in 1997, when Amanda was just 21 and Clive was 42.
